Dr. M.A. Wazed Miah Memorial Foundation (DMWF) is proud to announce a significant milestone in its journey toward global recognition: the formal engagement with Dr. Vinton G. Cerf, Vice President and Chief Internet Evangelist at Google and a globally celebrated “Father of the Internet.”

This high-level correspondence confirms the Foundation’s growing international stature. The exchange was initiated by Masrur Kabir, Special Envoy to the Founder President & Director, Global Affairs Division, who extended a personal invitation to Dr. Cerf to serve as an advisor and nominator for the esteemed DMWF Gold Medal.

In a gracious response dated November 10, 2025, Dr. Cerf acknowledged the “very kind invitation,” but regretfully stated that his extensive global duties and existing engagements “preclude my engagement in this fashion, much to my disappointment.”

While Dr. Cerf’s unparalleled schedule prevented his direct participation, this exchange marks a powerful validation of the DMWF’s mission. Receiving a direct acknowledgment from a global figure of Dr. Cerf’s caliber underscores the international prestige and relevance of the Dr. M.A. Wazed Miah Memorial Foundation and the Gold Medal award.

The Foundation remains committed to upholding the highest standards of international collaboration as it continues to honor distinguished personalities worldworldwide
